Peter J Drews, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Peter Drews is a Michigan native and obtained an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University (which has actually proven to be very relevant as a dentist). He worked in the automotive industry for four years, before going on to obtain a Doctoral degree in Dentistry from the University of Michigan (go Wolverines!).

He served as an officer in the United States Navy and was stationed in Chicago, San Diego and Bahrain, in addition to doing a “cruise” as ‘Dental Doc’ on the U.S.S. Rushmore from Hawaii, Australia, Singapore and Iraq. After leaving the Navy in 2008, he fulfilled his dream of owning a business by purchasing Dr. Bizier’s practice in Lewiston, Maine.

As a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and Bioclear Black Triangle Certified Restorative Dentist, Dr. Drews is dedicated to staying at the forefront of dental innovation. He has also served as past President of the Androscoggin Valley Dental Society and the Maine Dental Association.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Drews makes the most of Maine’s seasons. From December through April, you’ll find him skiing the double blacks at Saddleback or Sugarloaf—he might be the only team member who truly enjoys winter! During the warmer months, he’s often at Lowes planning his next DIY project or at the Lewiston dog park, exercising his two dogs: a 15-pound rat terrier and a 115-pound yellow lab.
