Wisdom teeth, and other teeth, are sometimes extracted for any number of reasons including severe tooth decay, advanced periodontal disease, broken teeth that cannot be repaired, impacted teeth, etc.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is a surgical procedure that replaces missing bone in order to repair bone fractures that are extremely complex, pose a significant health risk to the patient, or fail to heal properly.
Soft Tissue Grafting
Dental soft tissue grafts are done to help repair the damages of gum recession. A dental surgeon will graft soft tissue from a donor site within the mouth and use it to cover exposed roots.
Crown Lengthening
Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure where gum tissue and/or bone is removed to expose more of a tooth, because there must be a minimum length of exposed tooth for a crown to be viable.
